The Member of Parliament for Akatsi North, Nortsu-Kotoe Kwasi Peter, has assured residents that by the end of this year, every school in the district will have proper classroom facilities, ending the practice of pupils studying under trees.

He made the remarks in an interview with Adom News at Avevoe during the official handover of a new ultramodern Kindergarten (KG) block to Hadave and Avevoe D/A Primary Schools in the Akatsi North District of the Volta Region.

The newly constructed KG facilities were funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) as part of efforts to enhance basic education infrastructure and provide a more conducive learning environment for pupils.

The MP noted that the project is part of a wider plan to eliminate temporary and unsafe learning spaces throughout the constituency. He emphasized that education remains a top priority and pledged continued government support through GETFund and other initiatives to build and complete classroom blocks across the district.

Meanwhile, the Headmaster of Hadave Primary School, Mr. Bright Sedenam Kudjo Nutsuakor, expressed gratitude to the MP and the government for the new facility and called for additional support, including furniture, teaching and learning materials, and improved sanitation facilities.

Community members and education stakeholders present at the event welcomed the project, describing it as a significant boost to early childhood education in Hadave and neighboring communities.
