  • Threatens legal action against outlets spreading misinformation

Sammy Anim Addo, manager and representative of former Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan, has dismissed reports alleging that ex-Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari was arrested in Dubai.

The clarification follows earlier claims suggesting that the former AC Milan and Inter Milan player had been detained in the UAE.

In a statement released on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, via his verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Anim Addo assured the public that Muntari is safe and currently residing in Dubai, where he is focused on his personal and business affairs.

He labelled the circulating reports as false and urged the public to ignore them. Anim Addo further called on media outlets responsible for the misinformation to retract their publications and issue an official apology, warning that failure to comply would lead to legal action from Muntari’s legal team.
