Black Stars Depart for Chad Today

The Black Stars are scheduled to depart Accra today, September 2, for N’Djamena, where they will face Chad in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on Thursday.

Preparations began on Monday, September 1, with an initial training session at the Accra Sports Stadium, featuring 12 players. The rest of the squad is expected to link up with the team ahead of their departure.

Under the guidance of head coach Otto Addo, the team will hold one final session in Accra before flying out. A training session is also planned in N’Djamena on Wednesday, the day before the match.

The Group I fixture will take place at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, with kick-off set for 13:00 GMT.

After the clash in Chad, the Black Stars will return to Accra to host Mali in their Matchday 8 fixture on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ghana currently leads Group I with 15 points from six matches, keeping them firmly on track for what would be their fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.
