The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Monday reprimanded the Bono Regional Minister for allegedly using his political office to interfere in the Sampa chieftaincy dispute.

He made the remarks during the final Asanteman Council meeting of 2025, held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II stated that the Bono Regional Minister, who is also a lawyer, has a vested interest in the Sampa chieftaincy matter, and emphasized that he would not permit the minister to leverage his political position to influence traditional affairs.
