Story Highlights
  • New Eleven Wonders coach Emmanuel Aidoo says accepting the role was a risk, given the club’s struggles
  • He has already led the team to their first FA Cup win and first Premier League victory of the season

Newly appointed Eleven Wonders head coach, Emmanuel Aidoo, has admitted that stepping in to lead the struggling club comes with significant challenges.

Aidoo took over after the exits of Nii Odartey Lamptey and J.E. Sarpong, who both left due to internal issues. Since assuming the role, he has overseen the club’s first FA Cup win of the season and their first Premier League victory, a 2-0 win over Dreams FC on Matchday 12.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Aidoo said keeping the team in the top division is a heavy responsibility.

“I’ve been tasked with ensuring Eleven Wonders avoid relegation, but I must admit that taking on this job was a risk,” he stated.

He also clarified that player salaries are current.
“As far as I know, the players have received their monthly salaries,” he said.

Eleven Wonders are currently bottom of the league table with six points and are set to face Swedru All Blacks on Sunday in Matchday 13.
