Former Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has voiced his frustration over the club’s appointment of a new manager without his prior knowledge or involvement.

On Friday, June 20, the club confirmed the appointment of Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as head coach for the 2025/26 season. Dramani, a former Black Stars assistant coach, signed a two-year deal with the Accra-based side.
Ouattara, who had been in charge for the last two seasons, criticized the management’s approach, describing the lack of communication as a major oversight.
“You can’t appoint a new coach while the current one is still in place. It’s a serious administrative blunder,” he told Pure FM.
“They didn’t speak to me at all—they completely cut me off,” he added.
Following the change, Ouattara has been moved to a new position as Special Advisor to the club’s Board of Directors.
