Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has shared the key red flags she looks out for in a potential partner.
In a recent interview with American media outlet Complex, the Love Me Jeje singer stated that she avoids dating men who are unfriendly or lack curiosity about her.
Tems explained that the foundation of any relationship is lost if a partner isn’t genuinely interested in getting to know their significant other.
“My dating rules are simple: anyone who doesn’t try to be your friend is a red flag. Anyone who isn’t curious about you is also a red flag. What’s the point of a relationship if you don’t want to know me? If someone isn’t interested in learning more about you, it’s time to end it,” she said.
While Tems describes herself as a “lover girl,” she emphasized that past experiences have made her cautious. She also revealed that she is currently prioritizing self-love and personal growth.
