Popular Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe, widely known as Waje, has announced that she is engaged.
The 45-year-old made the revelation during an interview with Hip TV in Lagos, simply saying, “I am actually engaged,” without offering any further details about her fiancé.
Although the identity of her partner is still unknown, Waje previously mentioned in an interview that she would not marry a man who is not successful, noting that she no longer has the patience to support a struggling partner at her age.
In a conversation on The Honest Bunch podcast, Waje also spoke about her past, sharing that the father of her daughter denied the pregnancy and abandoned her when she became pregnant as a teenager.
She explained that although he later returned to apologize, he still did not take responsibility for their daughter — even after she agreed to a DNA test he ultimately failed to show up for.
