Ghanaian highlife star Kuami Eugene has addressed recent accusations made by social media influencer Archipalago, who labeled the artiste as disrespectful during an interaction over a proposed music collaboration.
Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie, the Monica hitmaker refuted the claims and shared his side of the story.
Archipalago previously claimed that Kuami Eugene declined to speak with him via a radio presenter who attempted to connect the two for a potential collaboration.
“I only called to propose a collaboration. If he didn’t want to talk, that’s okay—but the way he acted was just disrespectful,” Archipalago alleged.
Kuami Eugene, however, explained that the situation had been misunderstood. According to him, the call came at an inconvenient time.
“After the interview, I was giving the presenter a lift back when Archipalago called her and asked to speak with me about a song. I declined because I was already on a call with my mother and didn’t want to end it abruptly,” he explained.
He emphasized that the presenter informed Archipalago he was busy and would return the call later, but the message may not have been clearly received.
Kuami added that Archipalago’s subsequent outburst on social media escalated the issue unnecessarily.
“Since then, every time something comes up about me, he seems upset. I just hope he doesn’t end up with a heart attack,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Kuami Eugene has dropped a new single titled “Do Better”, which promotes self-improvement and introspection.
