Known for her love-themed music and her persona as a “lover girl,” the ‘Rush’ hitmaker disclosed that she has never actually experienced being in love.
In the interview, Ayra Starr clarified that the romantic lyrics featured in her songs are products of her imagination rather than reflections of her personal experiences. Despite her evocative music, she admitted that love is a realm she has yet to explore.
“I am a lover girl deep in my heart, I’m just very strong-headed about it. I actually have never been in love,” Starr confessed. “I have been in certain situations—not situationships!—but I have never been in a fully committed relationship.”
The singer attributed her lack of romantic involvement to her demanding schedule. Since the age of 15, she has been balancing a modeling career, university studies, and her rising music career, leaving little time for romantic pursuits.
