“Doctor Said I Had 20-23 Years Left, But I’m Nearing 50” – Nacee Overcomes Sickle Cell

Ghanaian gospel singer and record producer Nacee (born Nana Osei) opened up about his courageous battle with Sickle Cell disease.

Diagnosed with the condition early in life, Nacee was given a grim prognosis by his doctor, who predicted he may only live for 20 to 23 more years. However, Nacee has defied the odds and is now nearing his 50th birthday.

Nacee expressed his gratitude to his doctor, who played a critical role in managing his condition, saying, “He is very wonderful. He is the one that God used to save my life at that time.” Although the doctor has since passed away, Nacee’s appreciation for his care remains.

The singer also shared a remarkable encounter he had in church, which he believes marked a turning point in his healing journey. During an altar call, he joined the congregants who came forward before the preacher, and the elders poured oil on him and prayed for him. “Since that day till today… I have never felt sick again. Never. None of my kids [too],” he testified.

Nacee’s inspiring story is a testament to the power of faith and resilience in the face of adversity.
