Preparations for the funeral of highlife legend Daddy Lumba were abruptly halted on Friday morning at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Canopies, chairs, and other arrangements had already been set up in anticipation of the ceremony, which was scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025.
However, the plans were thrown into uncertainty after the Accra High Court issued an injunction prohibiting any further activity related to the funeral.
The court order temporarily suspends all preparations until the ongoing legal dispute over the musician’s burial arrangements is fully resolved.
