Nigerian singer Asake has further cemented his dominance on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, extending his record as the artiste with the highest number of entries.
The Mr. Money hitmaker reached a new milestone of 60 chart entries after his collaboration with Wizkid, Jogodo, climbed to a peak position of number four this week.
Meanwhile, South African star Tyla maintained her stronghold at the top of the chart, with her song Channel retaining the number one spot. She was also crowned the top Afrobeats artist of 2025.
Tyla’s earlier hit, Water, continues to hold the record for the longest-running number-one song on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, having spent an impressive 55 weeks at the summit.
Elsewhere, Nigerian superstar Burna Boy achieved a career milestone by securing his first top-20 entry on the Billboard Hot 100. His feature on Gunna’s track WGFT rose to a new peak at number 16 this week following the release of a remix featuring Chris Brown.
With this achievement, Burna Boy also became the first African artiste to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years, spanning from 2021 to 2025.
