A growing rivalry has erupted between two of Ghana’s most iconic comic actors—Agya Koo and Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin—over who truly deserves the title “King of Kumawood.” Verbal jabs have been exchanged, fueling a heated debate within the local film industry.
The drama began when LilWin casually proclaimed himself the undisputed king of Ghana’s movie scene, a statement widely interpreted as a dig at Agya Koo, who is credited with leading Kumawood during its peak years.
During an interview on Nhyira FM, LilWin reinforced his stance, dismissing Agya Koo’s relevance in today’s industry. He accused the veteran actor of fading into obscurity, claiming he now spends his time doing podcasts and performing at funerals.
“Agya Koo is riding on past glory,” LilWin stated. “He no longer represents what Kumawood is today.”
