Dennis Apusika, a youth activist from Ghana’s Upper East Region, has completed a remarkable 27-day, 785-kilometre walk from Bolgatanga to Accra to advocate for the construction of a modern sports stadium in his region.

He arrived at Accra’s Black Star Square on Sunday, August 17, 2025, after setting off on the long trek on July 22.

The walk was both a symbol of his unwavering commitment and a direct call to government and stakeholders to prioritise the long-overdue development of a standard sporting facility in the Upper East Region.

Mr. Apusika emphasized that such a facility would help nurture young athletic talent, boost tourism, and drive economic growth in the region.
