World Vision Donates Educational Support Items to Children in Krachi West

As part of efforts to improve the lives of vulnerable children, the Kete-Krachi cluster of World Vision has donated bicycles, clothing, school bags, pens, and other essential items to children in the Krachi West Municipality of the Oti Region.

The donation, spearheaded by Cluster Manager Augustine Nyaaba, underscores World Vision’s ongoing dedication to supporting underserved communities and promoting access to education.

Speaking at the event, Nyaaba highlighted the critical role of education and mobility in a child’s development, stressing that every child deserves the tools and environment needed to thrive.

He explained that the bicycles, in particular, will make a major difference for children who currently walk long distances to school, enabling them to attend classes more consistently, take part in extracurricular activities, and better connect with their peers.

In addition to improving school attendance, the distribution of clothing, school supplies, and other materials aims to ease the financial burden on families who often struggle to provide basic learning essentials for their children.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi West, Prosper Addo, expressed his appreciation to World Vision for their continued support.

He praised the partnership between the government and NGOs like World Vision, noting that the donated bicycles will not only improve access to education for children in remote areas but also promote independence and physical well-being.

Addo also emphasized that the school supplies would help equip children with the necessary resources for a successful academic journey and called on other stakeholders to join efforts in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow.
