A MAN TGX26 trailer loaded with bottled water went up in flames on Wednesday, June 11, at Suhum Mile 44 along the Accra-Kumasi highway.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed that personnel from the Bunso Fire Station responded promptly to the scene. Firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control and were able to save approximately 70 percent of the cargo.
The incident led to significant traffic congestion, although no injuries or fatalities were reported.
In the aftermath, authorities are reminding transport operators and drivers to follow fire safety protocols diligently, particularly when hauling goods over long distances.
