- Daniel Yeboah arrested at a checkpoint with 66 parcels of suspected Indian hemp
- The parcels were allegedly handed to him by a woman in Wenchi for delivery

The Western Central Regional Police Command, through its Asankragwa Division, has arrested a suspect, Daniel Yeboah, for allegedly possessing 66 compressed parcels suspected to be Indian hemp.
Yeboah was apprehended on July 31, 2025, at the Samreboi-Tanokrom snap checkpoint.
According to a police statement, officers stopped Yeboah, who was riding a tricycle (commonly known as “Pragia”), and discovered two travel bags containing the suspected drugs during a search.
Yeboah claimed the parcels were given to him by a woman in Wenchi for delivery to Mumuni Camp near Samreboi. He also stated he was paid GH₵5,000 for the delivery.
Following the arrest, police have launched an investigation and are actively seeking to locate the woman identified by the suspect to assist in the case.
Yeboah is expected to appear in court on Monday, August 4, 2025. The Regional Police Command is urging the public to provide any information that could help identify or locate the woman involved or assist in the ongoing investigation.
