Richard Abbey Jnr, founder of Forty Under 40 Africa, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Ga Mantse, presenting the official trophy ahead of the 5th edition of the Forty Under 40 Africa Awards.

The visit, part of the preparatory activities for the 2026 awards, highlights respect for traditional leadership and underscores Ghana’s cultural significance as the host nation.

The Forty Under 40 Africa Awards 2026 is scheduled for February 14, 2026, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra, gathering Africa’s most influential young leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs under the age of forty.

Ahead of the awards, a Champions Summit themed “Resetting the African Mind: A Giant Step Towards Global Dominance” will take place, featuring a curated Valentine Fashion Show and Exhibition that showcases Ghanaian craftsmanship to a continental audience.

Since its inception, the platform has recognized over 2,000 exceptional African leaders across multiple sectors, fostering a pan-African network rooted in leadership, excellence, and impact. The awards celebrate young Africans driving innovation, building sustainable businesses, and contributing to economic and social development.

The 2026 edition, hosted in Ghana, is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts, the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, and the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President, positioning Ghana as a hub for youth leadership, enterprise development, tourism, and investment in Africa.

In the lead-up to Awards Night, a curated multi-day Ghana experience, powered by PayAngel, will run from February 9–13, 2026, bringing together nominees, finalists, delegates, and industry leaders from over 22 African countries. Participants will experience Ghanaian delicacies at Kanzo Republic while exploring the country’s cultural heritage, tourism sites, creative economy, and emerging investment opportunities.

The Forty Under 40 Africa platform, initiated by Xodus Communications Limited, continues to provide a space for pacesetters, policymakers, creatives, and business leaders to connect and contribute to shaping Africa’s future. The awards have been held across South Africa, the United Kingdom, Ghana, and globally in Dubai.

The 2026 edition promises to be a landmark event, celebrating Africa’s next generation of leaders and reaffirming Ghana’s role as a center for culture, leadership, and pan-African excellence.
