Prudential Bank Staff Protest

Some employees of Prudential Bank Ghana Limited are protesting what they describe as unfair treatment by the bank’s new management. The disgruntled staff allege that the new leadership has implemented selective salary increases benefiting only certain junior employees, while neglecting long-serving workers.

Speaking to Citi Business News on condition of anonymity on Wednesday, October 22, sources within the bank claimed that the changes also include the allocation of fuel allowances to a few selected individuals. These developments, they say, have worsened dissatisfaction among the broader workforce.

The protest is currently taking place at the bank’s head office, with staff demanding fair salary adjustments and improved transparency in management’s communication with all employee groups.

Meanwhile, Prudential Bank’s management is reportedly engaged in an emergency meeting with the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU).
