Minibus Somersaults at Asikyire Nkwanta

Fifteen passengers narrowly escaped death when a minibus somersaulted at Asikyire Nkwanta in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

The accident occurred when a Nissan Urvan minibus, registered AS 6391-22, suffered a sudden rear tyre burst while travelling along the highway.

The loud explosion startled both the driver and passengers. Before the driver could regain control, the vehicle veered off the road and somersaulted multiple times.

Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene, with the mangled bus landing in a ditch and terrified passengers crying out for help.

Miraculously, all 15 occupants survived the crash. However, eight of them sustained serious injuries, including broken bones and deep lacerations.

Bystanders rushed to the scene and assisted in rescuing the victims before emergency services arrived. The injured were later transported to the Divine Love Hospital in Bibiani for treatment.
