- Manhyia Palace dismisses reports linking it to Daddy Lumba’s funeral arrangements
- Conflicting information arises as family rejects an unapproved December 13 burial date
- Palace urges the public to rely on verified updates to avoid confusion and tensions
The Manhyia Palace has called on the public to ignore claims that it is involved in the burial and funeral plans for renowned highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba. In a statement released on Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Palace stressed that it is not participating in any preparations for the musician’s funeral and urged the public to rely solely on verified information.
This clarification follows widespread reports alleging the Palace’s involvement—claims officials have described as false and misleading.
Meanwhile, tensions are said to have emerged between Daddy Lumba’s immediate family and extended relatives regarding the appropriate date for the funeral. The family has rejected a rumoured date of December 13, 2025, stating that it has not been approved.
The Palace warned that attempts to associate it with the issue could cause unnecessary confusion and advised the public to stop circulating unverified information that could further heighten tensions surrounding the funeral arrangements.
