The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man identified as Osei Kwame, popularly known as “Nsafufoo,” for illegally wearing a police uniform. His arrest followed the circulation of a viral video showing him visibly intoxicated while fully dressed in official police attire—a sight that sparked public concern and prompted immediate police intervention.
The arrest occurred in Antoakrom, located in the Manso Nkwanta District of the Ashanti Region.
According to police sources, Osei Kwame is currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
In a statement, the Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the integrity of its uniform and issued a warning to the public against impersonating officers or unlawfully using police regalia.
