Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Delali Anku-Adiamah, has thrown his full support behind Asante Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars as they gear up for their respective continental assignments this weekend.

GoldStars, reigning Ghana Premier League champions, will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League, while FA Cup winners Kotoko will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.

In an exclusive interview with Asempa FM, Anku-Adiamah encouraged both clubs to seize the moment, stressing that their performance could play a crucial role in helping Ghana regain its full four-slot allocation in CAF interclub competitions.

“Asante Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars are carrying Ghana’s hopes in Africa. Strong performances from them will not only lift the nation’s image but also improve our chances of securing more slots in future tournaments. As a club, we fully support them and wish them all the best,” he said.

GoldStars will kick off their Champions League journey on Saturday, September 20, with a tough encounter against JS Kabylie of Algeria at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kotoko will take to the same pitch a day later, Sunday, to face Nigeria’s Kwara United in the Confederation Cup preliminary round.

Both teams have reportedly undergone intensive preparations and are eager to make a mark, as Ghana looks to reestablish its presence among Africa’s football powerhouses.
