A fatal road accident occurred near the Anyinam Health Line on the Accra-Kumasi Highway, involving a Toyota Hilux and a Howo trailer, resulting in one death.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) stated that the Anyinam Fire Station received an emergency call at around 4:43 a.m. on Sunday, October 27.
A rescue team led by LFM Dwamena Albert arrived on the scene within 10 minutes. Four individuals were rescued and taken to Enyiresi Government Hospital, where one later succumbed to injuries and was moved to the hospital mortuary.
The vehicles involved were a Toyota Hilux (registration ER 2956-20) and a Howo trailer (number GM 592-21). The Ghana Police Service managed traffic and assisted with emergency response.
GNFS confirmed that investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
