The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the postponement of the District Assembly and Unit Committee by-elections that were initially scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
In a press release dated November 3, 2025, the Commission stated that the elections have been put on hold until further notice. While no specific reason was given for the delay, the EC assured the public that new dates will be announced in due course.
The notice, signed by Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of the Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation Department, thanked citizens for their understanding and urged them to remain patient as the Commission finalizes the updated timetable for the by-elections.
