A Dodge Journey salon car (DV 9496 X) caught fire at Shiashie early on Friday, December 12, 2025, with the incident reported to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at 8:17 a.m.
A team from the Legon Fire Station, led by ADO I Adjei, promptly responded despite heavy traffic and arrived at the scene at 8:33 a.m. The crew managed to bring the fire under control and fully extinguish it by 8:47 a.m.
However, the vehicle was completely destroyed.
The GNFS is advising motorists to keep functional portable fire extinguishers in their vehicles to help reduce damage and prevent total losses in such situations.
