Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Brigade clashed with police forces during their protest at the Finance Ministry on Wednesday, September 4.
The demonstration was in response to alleged financial mismanagement under President Akufo-Addo’s administration.
The precise cause of the confrontation remains unclear at this time.
The ORAL Brigade is demanding accountability for funds they claim were misappropriated in controversial transactions.
Their grievances include the US$34.9 million Ambulance Spare Parts contract, the GRA-SML deal, and financial matters related to the All-African Games.
The group insists on a comprehensive investigation into these transactions to restore public trust and is also calling for a full disclosure of the 2023 All-African Games expenditures.
