Motor Rider Dies in Collision with Nissan Urvan on Obuasi-Dunkwa Road

A 30-year-old motor rider, John Osei, has tragically lost his life in a collision with a Nissan Urvan on the Obuasi-Dunkwa road in the Ashanti Region. The accident occurred on the afternoon of Friday, February 28, 2025.

According to information gathered by Adom News, John Osei was riding a Hoijin motorbike, registered with the number M-21-AS 8833. He was traveling from Kumasi to Dunkwa when the incident occurred.

At the Ampunyase Junction along the Obuasi-Dunkwa Highway, John reportedly lost control of his bike, speeding and veering off his lane into the opposite direction. He collided with an oncoming Nissan mini bus, which was driven by 29-year-old Joseph Damptey.

The impact of the crash resulted in the death of Osei, whose body has since been taken to the Obuasi Government Hospital mortuary.
