The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Limited has announced a nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise aimed at recovering outstanding payments from customers.
According to a statement issued by the company, the exercise will run from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 27, 2025, and will target all categories of customers with arrears. As part of the initiative, ECG teams will also inspect prepaid meters to ensure their accuracy and integrity.
ECG is urging customers with unpaid bills to settle their accounts promptly to avoid service disconnection and the additional costs associated with reconnection fees.
The company also issued a firm warning that unauthorised reconnection after disconnection is a criminal offence and offenders will face legal action.
