The total value of mobile money transactions in Ghana reached GH¢3.6 trillion from January to October 2025, according to the latest Economic and Financial Data released by the Bank of Ghana following last week’s Monetary Policy Committee meeting.
Monthly Growth
The report shows strong month-on-month growth, with September recording GH¢406 billion in transactions, rising to GH¢436 billion in October.
Year-on-Year Performance
- Total transactions in the first 10 months of 2024 were GH¢2.368 trillion.
- For the same period in 2023, transactions stood at GH¢1.367 trillion.
- In the first eight months of 2024, mobile money transactions totaled GH¢1.775 trillion.
The 2025 figure reflects a significant increase compared to previous years.

Industry players attribute the growth to:
