The Kuburah Diamonds Foundation (KDF) recently hosted its inaugural Intentional Women Conference, an empowering initiative aimed at fostering purpose-driven young women and shaping the future of female entrepreneurship in Ghana.
Held at Red Clay, the conference drew over 400 students from five senior high schools—Tamale Senior High, Northern School of Business, Islamic SHS, Nuriya SHS, and Nanton SHS—alongside more than 100 women and supportive men from across the Tamale metropolis.
Themed “Educate, Empower, Trailblaze”, the event brought together accomplished female professionals, thought leaders, and change-makers committed to cultivating what the Foundation calls female capital.
Founded by Adiza Ibrahim, who was inspired by her motivational book Hey Diamond! Becoming an Intentional Young Lady, the conference aimed to bridge the gap between ambition and action by providing practical insights on purpose, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
Speakers delivered impactful sessions based on their personal experiences:
- Executive Chef Faila, known for her Guinness World Record Cook-A-Thon attempt, shared lessons on discipline and strategic planning for building a strong personal brand.
- Chef Dee (Khadija Yussif) and Humu-Hani, founder of Assistance Hub, encouraged participants to develop their talents while enhancing digital skills.
- Nihad Titiaka, Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2024 and founder of Ecogreen Cases Legacy, inspired young women to leverage their influence for environmental advocacy.
- Iddrisu Khadijah, one of Ghana’s youngest female private pilots, motivated students to challenge norms and enter male-dominated professions.
- Hajia Alima Sagito Saeed, Executive Director of SWIDA and Special Guest of Honour, highlighted the power of collaboration in advancing women’s progress.
Reflecting on the event, founder Adiza Ibrahim called it transformative:
“The engagement at Red Clay was remarkable. This conference aimed to equip our young attendees to be intentional about their future. The interaction between speakers and participants made it a defining moment.”
She expressed gratitude to the speakers, the Ghana Education Service (Northern Region), Electroland Ghana Limited, PassionAir, Red Clay Studio, participating schools, and the Tamale community for their support.
KDF plans to build on this momentum with future editions, aiming to cultivate a generation of intentional young women ready to lead, innovate, and positively impact their communities.
Founded in 2020, the Kuburah Diamonds Foundation is a Ghanaian non-profit committed to empowering girls and women through education, skills development, and welfare initiatives, with the goal of building female capital as a pathway to a more equitable society.
