The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has met with residents of Amantena to strengthen collaboration between the government and large-scale mining companies while ensuring effective regulation of mining activities.

Speaking to Adom News, Frank Asare, National Coordinator for the Responsible Cooperative Mining and Skill Development Programme, explained that the engagement had two main objectives: to educate residents about mining operations and to officially invite them to the upcoming launch of the government’s alternative livelihood initiative.

Asare highlighted the government’s vision for large-scale mining firms to play an active role in supporting and developing small-scale mining within their host communities.
