The Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Jakob Linulf, has praised Margins ID Group for its pivotal role in Ghana’s development, particularly in advancing the nation’s digital identity ecosystem.
Speaking during a stakeholder engagement held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the company’s state-of-the-art card manufacturing facility, Intelligent Card Production Systems (ICPS) in Accra, Ambassador Linulf commended the company’s contributions to the Ghana Card project.
“The Ghana Card is a major milestone, and you should be proud of the part you’ve played in shaping Ghana’s future,” he remarked.
Ambassador Linulf further recognized Margins ID Group as a global leader in digital identity solutions, stating that the company stands out from many others across Africa in terms of innovation and execution. His visit comes as several African nations—including the Democratic Republic of Congo and The Gambia—look to replicate Ghana’s successful model in building national identity systems to support digital transformation and socio-economic development.
“Margins ID Group is well-known in Denmark, and your achievements are truly commendable,” he added.
Following a tour of the ICPS facility, the Ambassador expressed his admiration, saying, “You have our full support, and I’m very impressed with what I’ve seen.”
He was accompanied by Jørgen Østergård Bollesen, Head of Trade, and Linda Kafui Abbah-Foli, Commercial Advisor, both from the Danish Embassy in Accra.

Margins ID Group CEO, Moses Kwesi Baiden Jr., reaffirmed the company’s dedication to strengthening global partnerships and advancing Africa’s digital identity agenda. He emphasized that innovation and strategic collaboration remain central to the company’s mission of positioning Ghana as a model for digital transformation across the continent.
“We greatly appreciate the Danish Government’s contribution to this journey, and we look forward to continued collaboration in achieving new milestones,” Mr. Baiden said.
“Together, we will continue to innovate, expand, and deliver secure identification solutions that respond to the evolving needs of Africa and beyond.”
Mr. Baiden also underscored the broader diplomatic benefits of the partnership, noting that Margins ID Group’s support for Danish Constitution Day and other embassy-led initiatives illustrates how technology partnerships can foster stronger cultural and bilateral relations.
From humble beginnings with a $100 investment three decades ago, Margins ID Group has evolved into a leading technology enterprise and a shining example of successful international collaboration in Africa’s digital revolution.
The Denmark–Margins partnership, which began in 1999, has played a crucial role in establishing Ghana as a continental leader in digital identity systems. Today, the Ghana Card serves as an inspiration for other African nations pursuing digital transformation.
