- The assurance was given during the party’s Thank You Tour in Kenyasi, Ahafo Region
- Asiedu Nketia warned that failure to deliver could affect the NDC’s chances in the 2028 elections
The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has assured the public that President John Dramani Mahama will deliver on all promises made during the party’s 2024 election campaign before the end of his term in office.
He gave the assurance during the NDC’s Thank You Tour at Kenyasi in the Ahafo Region, cautioning that any failure by the Mahama administration to honour its campaign pledges could negatively affect the party’s prospects in the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia noted that several key promises made by the NDC have already been fulfilled, demonstrating the government’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of Ghanaians. He emphasized that it would be difficult to convince voters to renew the party’s mandate in 2028 if those commitments are not fully met.
Meanwhile, the Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, appealed to the party leadership to intensify efforts to improve the welfare of branch executives, describing them as instrumental to the party’s electoral success.
She urged party members to remain patient and assured them that individuals who worked diligently to secure victory for the party would be duly rewarded before President Mahama’s tenure comes to an end.
