The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has paid a moving tribute to the late Asantehemaa, Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III, hailing her as a beacon of wisdom, grace, and loyalty whose legacy will endure through the ages.

The tribute—delivered on his behalf by Sir Sam Jonah, Executive Chairman of Jonah Capital—was read during a solemn ceremony in Kumasi held in honour of the revered Queen Mother.
Otumfuo remembered Nana Konadu Yiadom III not just as a royal matriarch, but also as a beloved sister and trusted confidant, whose advice was always offered with humility, devotion, and exceptional wisdom.
“In times when the weight of kingship felt heaviest, I could always turn to her—not just as the Asantehemaa, but as my sister,” he said, reflecting on her guidance, which was rooted in love and loyalty, devoid of personal ambition.
He praised her reign as one characterized by peace, patience, and humility, noting that her quiet strength and selfless service played a vital role in shaping the heart of Asanteman.
“The Asante nation will forever cherish her memory. Future generations will speak of Nana Konadu Yiadom III as a woman of peace, patience, and dignity,” Otumfuo stated.
He concluded by urging leaders to follow her example of humility and service, describing her life as a lasting testament to love and compassion.
