Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has criticised the management of Eleven Wonders for allegedly mistreating players.

The newly promoted Ghana Premier League side has come under fire after former coach J.E. Sarpong claimed that players were not being properly fed and were owed salaries.

Odartey Lamptey, who took over as head coach after the club’s return to the top flight, left the team following a poor start to the 2025/26 season, during which they failed to win any of their first nine matches.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, he voiced strong disappointment with the club’s leadership.

“I really hope things change because those running the team include a Member of Parliament and a Member of the Council of State. So why should these issues be happening?” he asked.

“Sometimes I wonder—if you can’t manage 30 players, then it’s unfortunate. I’m an illiterate managing more than 60 players at my academy. If I can do it, how much more educated people like you?” he added.

Eleven Wonders currently sit bottom of the league with three points from 11 matches and are set to face Dreams FC next in their Matchday 12 fixture at the University of Ghana Stadium.
