Hearts of Oak relocate home games to University of Ghana Stadium

Story Highlights
  • Hearts of Oak will host the rest of their 2025/26 home games at the University of Ghana Stadium
  • The club has struggled at home, earning only six points from five matches
  • Decision follows sustained pressure from supporters

Hearts of Oak will now play the rest of their home games for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season at the University of Ghana Stadium, after deciding to stop using the Accra Sports Stadium.

Although the club has not issued an official statement, the decision follows increasing pressure from supporters who have repeatedly demanded a change of venue.

The Phobians’ poor home form this season has added to the frustration. They currently rank as the league’s second-worst home performers, securing just six points from five matches.

Their only home win so far was a 1–0 victory over bottom-placed Techiman Eleven Wonders. They also lost to rivals Asante Kotoko and drew their remaining home fixtures.

Hearts of Oak will play their first match at their new home venue on Saturday, November 29, 2025, against Vision FC.
