John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a promise to the people of the Upper East Region to continue the process of building an airport in the region. This promise was made during his campaign tour of the region, where he outlined his plans for the area’s development.
Mahama emphasized the importance of the airport project, which was initiated during his previous administration, and assured the people that he would see it through to completion. In addition to the airport promise, Mahama also pledged to increase the percentage of the District Assemblies Common Fund allocated to persons with disabilities.
This move aims to support and empower individuals with disabilities in the region, and demonstrate the NDC’s commitment to inclusivity and social welfare. Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, also spoke during the campaign tour, highlighting the achievements of the NDC during Mahama’s previous administration.
Adongo emphasized the benefits that his constituency has received under NDC leadership and expressed confidence that the region would continue to thrive if Mahama returns to power. Other speakers, including Joshua Alabi, Chairman of the NDC campaign team, and Mahama Ayariga, Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, urged the people to remain vigilant and active in the upcoming elections.

They encouraged the crowd to come out in large numbers to vote for Mahama and all NDC parliamentary candidates in the Upper East Region. By making these promises and rallying the support of the people, Mahama aims to secure a strong showing for the NDC in the region and ultimately win the presidency.
