Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Ayra Starr has been announced as one of the headline performers for the 2025 Tidal Rave Festival, set to take place in Accra, Ghana.
This will be the first time a major non-Ghanaian artist headlines the event — a move organisers EchoHouse describe as part of a bold transformation for this year’s “Wild Card” edition.
The “Hot Body” hitmaker will share the stage with Ghanaian favourites Black Sherif, Moliy, and Gyakie, promising an electrifying weekend of music and culture.
A Wild Weekend of Culture and Music
Now in its 13th year, Tidal Rave is expanding into a two-day cultural festival. The event will be held on November 14–15, 2025, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
Festivities begin on Friday, November 14, with an exclusive pre-party hosted by Johnnie Walker, leading into the main event on Saturday, November 15 — a full day celebrating music, fashion, food, and creativity, headlined by Ayra Starr.
Culture Currents Lead the Charge
This year’s edition introduces “Culture Currents”, a creative collective shaping the festival’s experience from within.
Event Director Awo Ampadu Somuah explained, “Tidal Rave has always delivered the ultimate party, but this year we’re shining the spotlight on Culture Currents — a team of top industry specialists redefining the experience.”
The team features Lisa Quama, Ato Sekyi, Rev Erskine, Samuella Graham, Ellen Osabutey, Makafui Awuku (McKingtorch Africa), Kojo Junior, and Joewackle, who will infuse the festival with innovation across fashion, food, storytelling, dance, and sustainability.
An Immersive Festival Experience
The 2025 edition will turn the beach into a vibrant creative hub, featuring:
- Afro Exchange by Johnnie Walker
- Red Alert Experience by Absa Ghana
- Energy Zones by Red Bull
- Black Star Experience, an initiative from the Office of the President of Ghana
Festival-goers can also enter “The Luckiest Raffle”, with exciting prizes and unexpected surprises that reflect the wild, adventurous spirit of Tidal Rave.
