Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has opened up about ongoing health complications stemming from a 2019 assassination attempt, revealing that bullet fragments remain lodged in her head.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Okorie documented scenes from recent hospital visits, including medical scans and tests. She revealed that the past two weeks have been especially difficult as she continues to experience recurring symptoms related to the shooting incident.
Doctors reportedly discovered additional bullet fragments during her latest examinations. As a result, she has been placed on bed rest and remains under close medical observation.
“The last two weeks have been really hectic, my loves,” she shared. “It’s been one hospital or the other, doing multiple tests on my head and body. I haven’t been feeling well, and my doctor said I need to rest. Good health is often taken for granted. During my recent check-up, they found more bullet fragments still in my head. With time, more continue to surface.”
Okorie first survived the alleged attack by armed men in December 2019, after performing at an event. She previously disclosed that she was shot multiple times, with X-rays revealing numerous bullet fragments in her skull.
Her latest update has sparked a wave of concern and support on social media, with fans and colleagues offering prayers and well wishes.
The actress’s experience serves as a sobering reminder of the long-term physical and emotional impact of violent attacks—effects that often persist years after the initial trauma.
