Kumawood actor LilWin was involved in a roadside confrontation on the Sunyani highway following a near-accident caused by a truck driver’s reckless behavior.
The incident occurred while LilWin and his team were en route to the premiere of his latest film, which portrays the life of the late Ivorian footballer Ibrahim Touré, brother of Yaya and Kolo Touré.
According to LilWin, a heavy-duty truck dangerously overtook their convoy at high speed, forcing their vehicle toward the shoulder of the road. Despite multiple attempts to signal the driver to stop, he allegedly ignored them and continued driving.
The situation escalated when LilWin’s team caught up with the truck at a police checkpoint. A formal complaint was lodged, leading to a heated exchange between both parties.
Bystanders gathered as tensions rose, but police officers on the scene stepped in to de-escalate the situation.
No injuries or vehicle damage were reported, but LilWin expressed frustration over what he described as “reckless and needless driving” that could have led to a serious accident.
