The Ghana Police Service has forwarded a duplicate docket on the murder of Immigration Officer Stephen King Amoah to the Office of the Attorney General for further directives.Per reports from the Ghana News Agency (GNA), both the Police and the Court must now wait for the Attorney General’s advice before the case can progress.Meanwhile, the case involving the two suspects — Bright Aweh (alias Highest Bright) and Thomas Zigah — has been postponed to December 3, 2025. The matter had earlier been adjourned after the court failed to sit on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.The accused appeared before the Adabraka District Court under tight security and were taken away after the new date was announced. Their lawyers were present, but their pleas remain reserved as they face charges of conspiracy to murder and murder.The case traces back to July 3, 2025, when Amoah went missing after leaving home to meet Aweh at Ashongman Estates. His body was later found in a drain at Abom Junction.Investigations show that the meeting was linked to WhatsApp conversations and pictures of money allegedly meant to settle a debt. Aweh reportedly said he had given Amoah GHC500,000 to clear a debt and return the remainder, but inconsistencies in his story heightened suspicion.He was first charged with kidnapping, then later re-arrested for murder after police discovered a bloodstained camouflage cloth and a fufu pestle wrapped in polythene at his home. Following weeks of probing, Zigah was also arrested.Both Aweh and Zigah are currently facing charges of conspiracy to murder and murder.
