Widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most iconic actresses, Sinare brings a wealth of experience in film, public service, and advocacy to her new diplomatic role.
She is best known for her performances in films such as Out of Sight, Crossfire, Ties That Bind, and Trinity. With a career spanning decades, she became a household name in the late 1990s and early 2000s, praised for her powerful screen presence and dynamic acting in both film and theatre.
Over the years, Sinare has received numerous awards, including honours at the Ghana Movie Awards and recognition for her lasting impact on the arts and entertainment industry. In 2021, she was celebrated at the Golden Movie Awards Africa for her contributions to African cinema.
Beyond acting, Kalsoume Sinare is also a film producer and a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and the creative arts. She holds a Diploma in Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Bachelor’s degree in Public Service and Governance (2021), and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy, both from GIMPA.
Her appointment comes at a time when Ghana is looking to strengthen diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties with European nations. Spain remains a strategic partner, particularly in trade, tourism, renewable energy, and migration policy.
