Juaboso District Begins Stakeholder Talks on Town Planning

The Juaboso District Assembly, led by District Chief Executive (DCE) Alexander Adu Quist, has begun an important stakeholder engagement with landowners, traditional leaders, and community members to discuss structured town planning and development strategies for the growing Juaboso township.

The meeting, held within the community, focused on addressing key issues such as land use, road alignment, zoning for public services, and environmental conservation, as the area continues to expand both in population and infrastructure.

DCE Alexander Adu Quist emphasized that the initiative is part of a broader plan to curb unplanned settlements and the development of slums. He reassured landowners that town planning is not intended to limit their rights but to ensure every piece of land is accessible and supported by essential infrastructure.

“This engagement is vital for organized growth. Proper road layouts, designated utility zones, and building regulations will enhance safety, infrastructure access, and overall quality of life,” Mr. Quist stated.

Nana Ehwiama II, Chief of Sefwi Juaboso, praised the Assembly’s initiative, calling it a timely and much-needed step toward tackling challenges such as slum development and unregulated land use.

This stakeholder session marks the first of several planned actions by the Assembly to modernize and sustainably develop Juaboso’s urban spaces, ensuring long-term benefits for both current residents and future generations.
