Fire Destroys Pub Near Ho Technical University

A late-evening fire on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, ravaged a well-known pub and food joint at Nogora Junction near Ho Technical University, along with four container structures housing a boutique and various shops.

The blaze broke out around 5:20 p.m., sending thick smoke billowing into the sky and attracting a crowd of residents and students.

Firefighters from the Ho Municipal Fire Station, led by STNO II Michael Segbedzi, responded promptly after being alerted. Due to the rapid spread of the fire, additional support was called in from the GNFS Regional Headquarters.

Thanks to the coordinated firefighting efforts, the fire was brought under control and fully extinguished within two hours.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported, though the affected businesses suffered significant losses.
