UPSA Sends Students Home For Indecent Dressing

On Wednesday, July 2, several students at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), were sent home by a task force for allegedly dressing inappropriately.

This follows earlier warnings from the university that it would no longer permit indecent dressing on campus. According to reports from Myjoyonline.com, the affected students were asked to leave their classrooms and return to their residences to change into more acceptable attire before being allowed back.

One student, speaking anonymously, confirmed that many were turned away that morning and instructed to return only after dressing in what the university deems “more appropriate” clothing.

As of the time of reporting, the UPSA administration had not released an official statement on the incident.

The action appears to reflect the university’s renewed commitment to enforcing its dress code and upholding discipline on campus.
