The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has announced the opening of an overflow car park at Kotoka International Airport to cater for the anticipated increase in passenger traffic during the Christmas travel season.
In a statement shared via Facebook on Monday, December 15, 2025, GACL said the additional parking facility is situated next to the existing Terminal 3 (T3) car park and offers approximately 300 extra parking spaces. The move is aimed at improving convenience for passengers and visitors during the festive period.
The company explained that parking attendants will be positioned along key access routes to direct motorists to the overflow parking areas, ensuring smooth traffic flow and minimising congestion around the airport.
According to GACL, the initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance customer experience and effectively manage the heightened vehicular traffic that typically accompanies the Christmas travel rush.
GACL reaffirmed its commitment to continually improving airport services, emphasising its focus on meeting passenger needs during peak travel periods and beyond.
