Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama, commemorated this year’s Mother’s Day with a compassionate visit to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where she engaged with new and expectant mothers.

She described the occasion as deeply meaningful, evoking fond memories of her own journey through motherhood.

Speaking to the mothers, Mrs. Mahama offered words of encouragement, urging those in labour to stay strong and focus on the joy that awaits after childbirth. She reminded them that motherhood is more than giving birth—it’s defined by enduring love, sleepless nights, and unwavering resilience.

To mark the day, the First Lady distributed gift packages to the mothers and kindly settled the medical expenses for all babies born on Mother’s Day.
