The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has suspended the operating license of NK Benark Enterprise, a licensed Tier 2 gold buying company, and ordered the immediate closure of all its trading outlets across the country.

In a statement released on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, GoldBod cited allegations implicating the company in several gold-related offenses as the basis for the suspension.

The company’s sole proprietor, Bernard Nkrumah, has been arrested and is currently facing prosecution at the High Court.

GoldBod has warned all licensed gold traders, miners, and members of the public to refrain from engaging in any transactions with NK Benark Enterprise.

The Board emphasized its ongoing commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency within the gold trading sector, stating that this action is part of broader measures to enforce industry regulations more rigorously.
